The FIFA World Cup 2022™ is gearing up and media preparations are well under way.
MEDIA ACCREDITATION ALERT: Accreditation by the Host Country (Qatar) is scheduled to begin shortly at the Host Country Virtual Media Centre (VMC) in the upcoming days, all media intending to broadcast may apply for the same. This is to ensure that all participating media have a clear understanding and access to permitting and other information.
Important details on Accreditation by the Host Country, Entry Permit to Qatar, Filming Permits can be found at the VMC. Additional guidance on accommodation & clearance procedures for broadcasting equipment can also be found at the same place.
Any media visiting Qatar for the purpose of covering the World Cup needs to hold either:
- FIFA Accreditation
Or - Host Country Accreditation
Once accredited by either party, media may then apply for Entry and Filming Permits at the VMC.
Local media from the Host Country (Qatar) may also avail Accreditation by applying at the VMC, streamlining the process regardless & eliminating the need for multiple applications.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) of Qatar is working with a few key partners like Taswer Media Production, to ensure that media preparations go smoothly in the build-up to the World Cup.

To access the above broadcasting facilities, Host Country Media Centre accreditation is required – guests can gain access with day passes.
